I'm a 21 year old student and avid reader. I've always loved books, when I was a kid it was Enid Blyton and then when I was older I started reading romance, specially historical romance, thanks to Johanna Lindsey and her novels that kept me awake all night. To this day historical romance is my favorite genre, but I adore Paranormal Romance too. I like contemporary romance too, I love well done graphic novels and I read Erotica on occasion. I'm rather critique with books, I believe we're in times of abundance, and that's a great thing, but it doesn't always mean we have a lot of quality. So I spend a lot of time trying to find that new special gem. I think I can always give a book a try but I can't always like it. I like to share what I have to say about books with others. I read in English and Spanish (which is my native language) and I love to find new books to add to my long list of reads.

Currently reading

Slaughterhouse-Five
Kurt Vonnegut
Deliver Me from Temptation
Tes Hilaire
Enraptured
Elisabeth Naughton
Croak (Croak, #1)
Gina Damico
Dragon Actually - G.A. Aiken It was an OK book, but I just didn't enjoy it all that much. 2. something stars, can't say 3.
Their Little Girl - L.J. Anderson Not recomended.

Defying the Odds (Battered Hearts, #1)

Defying the Odds (Battered Hearts, #1) - Kele Moon Meh.
The Locker Room - Amy Lane

This was unexpectedly good. Really, a beautiful, sometimes bittersweet, story. I wished more people read stories like this, to learn or just to have a glimpse, even a fictional one like this, about the struggle of gay couples; also to see that at the end of the day it's just a couple, with two people loving each other no matter gender. It makes me really sad, because we know this stuff happens in real life, even more in sports with men, and the homophobia and machismo that's there, even now in the XXI century.

Iced - Karen Marie Moning Great start for this saga. It really gets the five stars for me because KMM has a way of writing that grips you tight and doesn't let you go for hours, and when you finish reading you're left wanting more, always a little bit more; besides those cliffhangers ARGH. I don't know how I'm going to wait for the next book.
How to Romance a Rake - Manda Collins I have to give it 5 stars for the courage of the author who wrote about a real heroine, not completely perfect, like most of the times they are made.
Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night - Kresley Cole I.just.can't. (and not in the good way).
Demon from the Dark (Immortals After Dark Series, Book 8) - Kresley Cole 5 stars for Malkom, Carrow is kind of bitchy and annoying.
Dreams of a Dark Warrior (Immortals After Dark Series, Book 9) - Kresley Cole Ahh yisss, this was soo good. Now, why can't the first books be as good as these??
And since I'm reading backwards, I'm falling for Lothaire all over again, it seems. He just steals the show every time.
Once Burned - Jeaniene Frost What a surprise I got with the end! This is like a saga, not like a series of books of different characters being the main protagonists.

Law Man (Dream Man, #3)

Law Man (Dream Man, #3) - Kristen Ashley This was a lot alike fanfiction... I wonder if it was at some point.
Ok, so the plot was really cute at first... it started sort of well. I like that idea she has of people ratings, because that's a lot like the way I see it. BUT, like always on these books, she's not actually the number she gives herself, she sees herself as a 2 or 3 out of a 10, when she's clearly higher on the scale. But that's a classic move authors seems to love these days, the heroine thinks herself to be so plain when shel, in fact, is not. Whatever...
Then, Mitch. He's gorgeous, a police officer and bossy as fuck. Seriously, I have issues with him and with Mara letting him do whatever he wants with her. He's not evil, but he just tells her what to do all the time, even that she needs to take birth control pills but he doesn't asks! He demands. Fuck.that.shit. You're turning the 10 man into a 2 right there. Men that tell women what to do ain't hot.

Captive in the Dark (The Dark Duet, #1)

Captive in the Dark - C.J. Roberts Actually half a star or just none. This is horrible.
Tangle of Need - Nalini Singh 3.5 just for Kaleb. Seriously, just give us his book. That's pretty much all I want at this point.
The couples in each book are getting to be less and less relevant, I can't say I didn't enjoyed Riaz and Adria, but it just wasn't that good, amazing, or anything like that. It was good. Just that.
Luckily, the connected background story makes the books extremely interesting and entertaining.
Angelfall - Susan Ee Beautiful book. Why the hell a book like this has so little readers and s*it like "Hush Hush" has so many? I don't understand people. This is Hunger Games level. As good as that. Good? Well this was more than good.
READ IT.

But jesus, how can it ends like this? What is air? Where is my heart? I can't. I can only wait for the next book.
Marrying The Captain - Carla Kelly all kinds of meh.
Lover Reborn - J.R Ward Disapointed. I expected better. Has Ward lost her touch? Between this book and the previous one, I don't know what to think. I really hope next book improves.
